As a key stakeholder in the minerals industry, you play an important role not only in building the wealth of your organisation and the industry but also to the state of Queensland. By participating with the QMEA, you have an opportunity to extend the knowledge and expertise of your team, to students who may potentially become a part of your future workforce.

You can participate in a number of ways:

• Opening your work sites for students and teachers to visit
• Participating in seminars, forums and workshops
• Nominating a dedicated industry mentor to work with students and teachers in schools
• Becoming actively involved in working groups to determine future needs for employment
• Providing opportunities for apprenticeships/traineeships and general employment
• Establishing scholarships and/or awards linked to future employment
• Making a financial commitment to the QMEA as an active sponsor
