Macarthur Coal Limited is the world’s largest producer of (seaborne) low volatile pulverised coal injection (LV PCI) coal product used for steel making.

As a supplier to the world’s leading steel producers, Macarthur Coal exports its entire product around the globe. Macarthur Coal has three operating mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin and a fourth mine in development.

The Company also has a strong portfolio of exploration tenements in the region. Macarthur Coal has a strategic focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth and plans to double its 2009 production capacity by 2014. In 2011, the Company is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its listing on the Australian Securities Exchange.
